Welcome

Welcome to the AFCEA Wasatch Chapter Site
The purpose of this Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Wasatch chapter web site is to keep current AFCEA members up-to-date on happenings in/around the Hill AFB and Salt Lake City areas, as well as to introduce individuals to AFCEA and the benefits AFCEA provides.
AFCEA is an international, non-profit organization that represents the professional communications, electronics, intelligence, and information systems community. Founded in 1946, AFCEA's roots trace back to the American Civil War. Today, AFCEA serves as a bridge between government requirements and capabilities.
The purpose of the organization is to provide a forum for government and industry leaders to meet, exchange ideas and concepts, discuss current problems and solutions, and identify the future requirements of the technical disciplines of communications, electronics, intelligence, and information systems. In addition, AFCEA supports global security by providing an ethical environment that encourages a close cooperative relationship among civil government agencies, the military, and industry.
Through its journal, SIGNAL, AFCEA covers the international disciplines of communication, intelligence, and information systems. To learn more, including how to join, visit AFCEA International
The Chapter supports all DoD services and agencies (Active, Guard, Reserve, and retired personnel) in the greater Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, Logan, and surrounding areas across the Wasatch Front in Utah.  The Chapter is actively seeking to grow membership and participation.  Our primary focus is Hill AFB, DISA DECC Ogden, Tooele Army Depot, Utah Air National Guard, Camp Williams, and the various DoD and Intelligence Community components in the area.  We interface with private industry partners and the Utah Data Center Consortium to advance the continuing education of today's young technology learners and leaders.
The Wasatch Chapter holds regular luncheons, scholarship fundraising events, Tech Expo¿s, and Young AFCEAN events.  We provided over $10,000 in scholarships benefiting local ROTC programs, STEM students, Science Teaching Tools programs, and assisted the AFCEA Educational Foundation in awarding local scholarship recipients enrolled in undergraduate and graduate level Intelligence and Cyber Security programs.  Our programs enable the ongoing education of tomorrow's most promising technology and intelligence leaders. Finally, we enjoy enthusiastic support to local military award recognition programs.
